This four-hour review of math concepts and applications is intended for those desiring either to introduce or reacquaint themselves with essentials skills required for certification exams. The class will start at ground level and quickly proceed to the level at which students must be proficient to work problems representative of the degree of difficulty expected on the exams. The following areas will be covered during the seminar: calculator operation; conversions (simple and extended); algebraic equations manipulation (moving equations around to isolate an unknown) including solving simultaneous and quadratic equations and word problems; and trigonometry (solving right triangles for unknown sides and angles).

Last year, OSHA most frequently gave citations in manufacturing for violation of LOTO (29CFR1910.147). This standard regulates the servicing and maintenance of equipment in which the unexpected energization or startup of the equipment, or release of stored energy could cause an injury.
